About the Position

Smith & Co is currently seeking experienced Civil Labourers to join several Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 civil contractors across Brisbane. With multiple projects commencing and strong pipelines of secured work, we’re looking for dependable workers who are ready to start immediately.
You’ll work across a range of civil construction projects, including subdivisions, road infrastructure, bulk earthworks, and land development. Whether your experience includes pit and pipe, machinery spotting, drainage, or general civil labouring, we have opportunities suited to your skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform general civil labouring duties across active construction sites
• Assist with site establishment, clean-up, and material handling
• Spot machinery and assist operators during excavation activities
• Support trenching, drainage, pipe laying, and backfilling works
• Work alongside civil crews to complete projects safely and efficiently
• Follow all workplace health and safety requirements

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience as a Civil Labourer within the civil construction industry
• Experience on subdivisions, roadworks, or infrastructure projects is highly regarded
• Pit and pipe experience is advantageous but not essential
• Current White Card required
• RII tickets are highly regarded but not essential
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a hands-on outdoor environment
• Dependable, punctual, and available for an immediate start
• Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
