Transition and Growth Team | Geelong or National Location | Travel Required

Your new company
An exciting opportunity is available with a growing national care and community services organisation. As a Senior Operations Lead, you will support newly acquired businesses through periods of transition, integration and growth, ensuring services remain safe, teams stay engaged and local cultures are maintained throughout the process.
This is not a traditional operations role. You'll help organisations navigate critical periods of growth and change, creating stability, building trusted relationships and preserving the culture and strengths that make each business successful.
This role is ideal for a calm, experienced operator who thrives in complex environments, builds exceptional relationships and can lead confidently through ambiguity while maintaining a strong focus on people, culture and service continuity.

Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Transition and Growth, you will work closely with local leaders, frontline staff and corporate stakeholders to stabilise operations, strengthen capability and support successful integration outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading operational stabilisation and integration activities across acquired businesses.
  • Supporting workforce continuity, service delivery and participant outcomes.
  • Building strong relationships with local leaders, frontline teams and executives.
  • Managing change and supporting leaders through challenging transition periods.
  • Identifying operational risks and implementing practical solutions.
  • Supporting the implementation of new systems, processes and governance frameworks.
  • Maintaining strong cultural alignment while respecting the identity and strengths of each organisation.
  • Travel nationally to support acquisition integration and stabilisation.
  • Providing on-site support during acquisitions, followed by ongoing coaching and guidance.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a highly credible and relationship-driven leader who remains calm when challenges arise and can quickly establish trust with people at all levels.

  • Demonstrated senior operational leadership experience within disability services, out-of-home care, aged care or another regulated human services environment.
  • Proven experience leading organisational change, transformation, acquisitions, integrations or transition projects.
  • Strong understanding of NDIS operations and/or out-of-home care service delivery.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience partnering with both frontline teams and senior leaders.
  • Outstanding communication, documentation and conflict-resolution abilities.
  • Data literacy and the ability to interpret operational, workforce and service data to support sound decision-making.
  • A collaborative leadership style that influences through trust rather than authority.
  • The ability to manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a positive culture.
  • A calm, solutions-focused approach when navigating complexity and change.
  • Willingness to travel nationally for acquisition and mobilisation activities.

What you'll get in return

  • Opportunity to play a key role in a growing national organisation.
  • Exposure to acquisitions, integration and strategic growth initiatives.
  • Significant influence across multiple organisations and leadership teams.
  • Diverse and meaningful work with no two projects the same.
  • Flexible location options, with Geelong preferred and national candidates encouraged to apply.
  • Competitive salary package and genuine opportunity to make an impact.
