Ethos BeathChapman is partnering with a large Utilities organisation to recruit an experienced Contracts Manager to support the delivery of major capital projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned contracts professional with a strong background in construction, infrastructure and major project delivery to lead commercial and contract management activities across a high-profile project portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the key commercial and contract management lead across major projects
- Manage contract development, implementation and administration activities
- Lead commercial negotiations and support procurement transactions
- Oversee contract variations, compensation events and commercial risk management
- Support project teams through contract execution, delivery and close-out
- Manage supplier and contractor relationships to achieve project outcomes
- Provide commercial advice to project stakeholders and senior leadership
- Drive contract governance, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
- Extensive experience in contract and commercial management within major infrastructure or construction projects
- Strong understanding of contract negotiation, administration and dispute avoidance
- Experience working across complex procurement and project delivery environments
- Knowledge of construction contracts and commercial frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Strong commercial acumen and risk management capability
- Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Construction Law, Business or a related discipline
Highly Regarded
- Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 construction contractors
- Client-side infrastructure project experience
- Experience supporting large-scale capital works programs
