Fairway Services and Investments Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Public Relations Professional to support the development and implementation of public relations and communication activities for our business, with a particular focus on strengthening our presence and reputation within the Australian market.
The successful candidate will work across media relations, stakeholder engagement, strategic partnerships, promotional activities and communications, while providing ongoing market insights and recommendations to management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and evaluate public relations campaigns to strengthen the clients’ reputation, visibility and positioning within the Australian market.
- Prepare and coordinate media releases, press materials, media communications and other publicity content for distribution to relevant media outlets.
- Research media trends, stakeholder sentiment and audience preferences to recommend promotional activities.
- Represent and promote the clients through relationships with Australian media, brands, businesses and key opinion leaders
- Coordinate media engagement, publicity opportunities and interviews where appropriate.
- Identify and develop partnerships and collaborative opportunities with media organisations and industry contacts that support the clients’ objectives.
- Commission, coordinate and review written, photographic and audiovisual publicity material to ensure brand alignment.
Qualifications & Experience:
Applicants for this position should:
- Hold a relevant degree-level qualification in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, Media or a closely related field.
- Have a minimum of 12 months’ relevant full-time professional experience in public relations, communications or a related field, in addition to the formal qualification.
- In some circumstances, 3–5 years of relevant full-time professional experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with media, industry stakeholders and external partners.
- Have experience coordinating public relations campaigns, media engagement, promotional activities and stakeholder communications.
- Have a sound understanding of the Australian media, travel, tourism and hospitality landscape.
