We are currently seeking a Bricklayer to Join the Team! The Bricklayer is responsible for constructing high-quality brick, block and stonework in accordance with architectural plans and specifications, while ensuring accurate finishes, structural integrity and compliance with site safety requirements. This is a full-time ongoing position working 38 hours per week in Riverwood, NSW.
Main tasks
- Planning, measuring, and laying bricks, blocks, and stonework accurately according to architectural plans and specifications.
- Achieving high-quality finishes with consistent joints, mortar, and alignment.
- Installing and aligning door/window frames, lintels, flashings, and other structural components.
- Maintaining site safety, cleanliness, and proper use of tools and equipment.
Required/Relevant Qualifications & Work Experience:
- Minimum of Certificate III in Bricklaying plus minimum 1 year’ relevant work experience in the last 5 years.
- 3 years’ relevant work experience may substitute the formal qualification.
Required/Relevant Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong bricklaying, blocklaying and stonework skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications.
- Skilled in measuring, setting out, cutting and laying materials accurately.
- Knowledge of mortar preparation, jointing and finishing techniques.
- Ability to achieve accurate levels, alignment and high-quality finishes.
- Competence in using bricklaying tools, equipment and machinery safely.
- Good understanding of construction and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a construction team.
Annual salary will be between $75,000.00 to $85,000.00 (plus superannuation) depending on level of experience.
