    As part of their growing allied health team, they are seeking a passionate Speech Pathologist to join them on a contractor basis.

    About the role:

    As a Contractor Speech Pathologist, you will work with children and adults presenting with a variety of communication, speech, language, feeding, and swallowing challenges. You will be responsible for delivering comprehensive assessments, developing individualized therapy plans, and providing evidence-based interventions that support clients in achieving their communication goals.

    Working closely with families, carers, support coordinators, and other allied health professionals, you will play an important role in helping clients improve their communication skills, confidence, and overall quality of life. Key responsibilities include:

    • Conducting assessments for speech, language, communication, feeding, and swallowing disorders
    • Developing and implementing individualized therapy programs
    • Supporting clients with speech delays, communication difficulties, and language development needs
    • Providing intervention for feeding and swallowing challenges
    • Preparing reports and maintaining accurate clinical documentation
    • Collaborating with families, carers, educators, and other healthcare professionals
    • Delivering services to NDIS participants in line with best practice standards
    • Supporting children and adults with complex communication needs

    Requirements:

    • Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology
    • Current membership (or eligibility for membership) with the Speech Pathology Australia
    • Relevant professional indemnity and public liability insurance (or willingness to obtain)
    • Experience working with children and/or adults with communication disorders
    • Knowledge of NDIS processes and documentation requirements is highly regarded
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team
    • Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle (if community-based services are required)
    • Valid Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
