    About the Role

    We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Women's Health focussed general practice in Mittagong. This role offers a varied scope of clinical and administrative duties. The ideal candidate will be confident in chronic disease management, health assessments, assisting GPs with procedures and patient education, with excellent communication and time-management skills. An interest in or experience in Women's Health is an advantage.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Deliver compassionate nursing care using a trauma-informed approach, ensuring clients feel safe, respected, heard and supported throughout their care.
    • Deliver immunisations, practice health checks, and routine clinical procedures such as wound dressing, suture removal etc.
    • Support chronic disease management plans for patients with chronic disease and other long-term conditions.
    • Perform ECGs in accordance with practice protocols.
    • Provide health promotion, patient education, and preventive care advice tailored to individual needs.
    • Maintain accurate clinical documentation and contribute to patient records with attention to privacy and confidentiality.
    • Assist with triage, telephone advice, and coordination of care with GPs.
    • Support practice quality improvement initiatives, accreditation processes and infection control practices.

    Skills and Qualifications

    • Current Australian registration as a Registered Nurse (AHPRA).
    • Experience in primary care or general practice nursing preferred but enthusiastic early-career nurses will be considered.
    • Demonstrated ability to perform clinical procedures and deliver patient education effectively.
    • Strong organisational skills, clinical judgment, and ability to work autonomously and within a team.
    • Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and moderate computer literacy.
