The Role
Reporting to the Irrigation and Playgrounds Supervisor, you will undertake irrigation installation and maintenance, playground maintenance, capital works and special projects across the Council.
Responsibilities include:
- Installing, maintaining and repairing irrigation systems
- Monitoring irrigation programs and identifying faults
- Maintaining pumps, controllers and water-quality equipment
- Supporting playground, parks and garden maintenance
- Assisting with capital works and special projects
- Operating plant, machinery, tools and equipment
About You
You will be practical, safety-focused and confident solving problems in the field. You will have:
- A Certificate III in Irrigation or Horticulture, or relevant experience
- Experience with irrigation installation, maintenance and control systems
- A current SA MR Driver’s Licence
- A Construction Induction White Card
- Workzone Traffic Management Accreditation and First Aid, or willingness to obtain them
- A Certificate IV in Irrigation or Horticulture and ChemCert certification will be highly regarded
