Located in the Macedon Ranges, Victoria | We are Ideally looking for a minimum 3+ Years’ Experience to join our 5 Vet team!
Gisborne Veterinary Clinic, located in the heart of the beautiful Macedon Ranges, is looking for an experienced Mixed Practice Veterinarian to join our friendly and supportive team 5 Vet team.
Established for over 45 years, we’re a well-established and well-equipped mixed practice caring for companion animals, horses and livestock across Gisborne and the surrounding community.
This is an opportunity to enjoy the variety that comes with true mixed practice, while working alongside an experienced Lead Veterinarian with 10+ years’ experience who is passionate about great medicine, great care, teaching, mentoring and:
- Preventative medicine & herd health
- Evidence-based medicine
- Client relationships
- Anesthesia & critical care
A genuinely varied mixed role
You’ll have the opportunity to work across both small and large animal medicine, developing strong relationships with pet owners, horse owners and our local farming community.
We’re ideally looking for a veterinarian with a minimum of 3+ years’ experience who already enjoys mixed practice and wants to continue building their skills and clinical interests within an experienced and collaborative team.
You’ll be joining a clinic that offers:
- A genuine mixed practice with a varied and rewarding caseload across companion animals, horses and livestock.
- An experienced Lead Vet with 10+ years’ experience who genuinely enjoys mentoring and clinical collaboration.
- 5 Veterinarians in your team and your equine Veterinarian has over 25+ years of experience and is a very well-known and equine vet in the industry.
- A supportive team of experienced nurses and a supportive & incredible Practice Manager.
- Modern diagnostic equipment and well-equipped hospital facilities.
- The opportunity to develop your own clinical interests and strengths.
- Strong connections with our long-standing clients and local farming community.
- Continuing professional development and support for ongoing learning including CPD allowance of up to $2000 + paid study leave & rollover into 2nd year.

About you
You’ll enjoy the variety that comes with treating & diagnosing mixed animals, be confident building relationships with clients and colleagues, and value working within a team where people openly share their experience and knowledge.
You’ll also hold, or be eligible to obtain, veterinary registration in Australia.
