Yard Hands Needed! - Lytton
- Move, position and organise new vehicles received at the Lytton facility for delivery to dealerships.
- Prepare vehicles by fitting accessories and components, applying labels and decals, and completing quality checks.
- Use hand and power tools safely while maintaining an organised work area and reporting damage or discrepancies.
We are currently seeking a reliable and hands-on Yard Hand to join one of our client's team at their Lytton facility.
Working within the automotive industry, you will assist with the movement, preparation and organisation of new vehicles, primarily Toyota, as they are processed and prepared for delivery to dealerships.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working with vehicles, has good attention to detail and is comfortable using hand and power tools.
Key Responsibilities:

Move, park and position vehicles throughout the yard and designated work areas.

Receive new vehicles arriving from the port and relocate them to designated storage areas.

Organise vehicles ready for collection and transport to dealerships.

Assist with fitting vehicle accessories and preparation components.

Apply compliance labels, VIN plates, decals and model-specific stickers.

Fit and install components such as fuse boxes and tyre change kits.

Safely operate hand and power tools.

Follow work instructions and complete quality checks.

Identify and report any vehicle damage, defects or discrepancies.

Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
About You:

Hold a current manual driver's licence
-
Confident driving and manoeuvring vehicles.

Mechanically minded with an interest in the automotive industry.

Comfortable using hand and power tools.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.

Previous yard hand, automotive or vehicle preparation experience is advantageous.
