Your new company
We are currently seeking a CAD Officer to support a large site on a part-time basis, working 12 days per week for the remainder of the year.This role will be responsible for the creation, maintenance and control of technical drawings, asset information, and associated documentation across a large campus environment. It will play a key part in ensuring records are accurate, compliant with relevant standards, and effectively managed to support campus operations, planning and capital development activities.
Your new role
- Analyse and interpret technical information to ensure accuracy and adherence to company Standards.
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to provide and acquire information and rectify anomalies in documentation.
- Utilise advanced CAD tools for accurate technical drawing creation and updates in accordance with Australian standards.
- Work with broad direction to manage and prioritise a dynamic workload.
- Maintain and update records and information within the work unit via the established records management system and procedures, including archival or disposal, in accordance with policy and relevant legislation, to ensure accuracy of filing and ease of retrieval.
- Undertake document control, ensuring compliance with policies and relevant legislation.
- Conduct data collection on physical assets like site measurements, location recording, and attribute capture.
- Respond to enquiries promptly and professionally, providing information compliant with established quality and document control processes.
What you'll need to succeed
- Relevant qualification and/or demonstrated experience in drafting, CAD, spatial information management, technical documentation, architecture, engineering support, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated proficiency in AutoCAD software, including the preparation, revision, and management of technical drawings.
- Experience in document control and records management
- Demonstrated ability to analyse, interpret, and verify technical information, identify discrepancies, and implement appropriate corrective actions to maintain data integrity and accuracy.
- Well-developed stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Experience collecting, managing, and maintaining asset, spatial or facilities-related data, including site measurements, location information, and attribute recording.
- High level attention to detail
- Experience working within a large site, local government, facilities management or built environment setting is also desirable.
