Join a large-scale transformation project where you'll play a key role in delivering data migration and conversion activities for a new enterprise system within a complex operational environment.
Your new role
As a Data Conversion Specialist, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing data conversion activities that ensure accurate, high-quality data is migrated into a new business-critical platform. Working closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical specialists, you will help drive successful project outcomes through effective data governance and migration practices.
Key responsibilities:
- Leading data conversion and migration activities across multiple source systems
- Developing source-to-target mappings and transformation rules
- Performing data profiling, cleansing, validation, and reconciliation
- Designing and supporting ETL/ELT processes using SQL and Python
- Identifying and resolving data quality issues throughout the project lifecycle
- Collaborating with business and technical teams to ensure data readiness for testing and go-live
- Supporting cutover planning and migration execution activities
What you'll need to succeed
- Strong SQL development skills, including T-SQL and SparkSQL
- Advanced Python development experience
- Proven experience delivering data conversion, migration, ETL/ELT, or data warehouse solutions
- Experience with Databricks Lakehouse, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Apache Spark
- Power BI experience including semantic models, DAX, Power Query, and report remediation
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile delivery practices
- Exposure to commodity trading, finance, supply chain, or operational reporting environments
