Our Client
Troocoo is exclusively partnered with a highly regarded, purpose-led not-for-profit organisation operating within Queensland’s environmental and circular economy sector. With a statewide network of third-party operators, the organisation plays an important role in delivering meaningful community and environmental impact across Queensland.
The Position
As General Manager, Operations, you will provide strategic leadership across a complex statewide operator network, ensuring it remains fit for purpose, commercially sustainable and aligned to evolving customer, community and stakeholder needs. This is a broad and influential leadership role, accountable for network performance, optimisation, governance, safety, compliance and long-term growth.
Working as part of the senior leadership team, you will lead a high-performing network function, shape strategic initiatives, strengthen operator engagement and identify opportunities to improve accessibility, efficiency and recovery outcomes across Queensland.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and implement initiatives that improve network capability, operational efficiency, service quality, cost control and long-term resilience
- Identify and evaluate opportunities to optimise network coverage, capacity, accessibility and recovery outcomes in line with future demand and stakeholder expectations
- Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement and a values-led culture
- Build trusted relationships with operators, industry participants, government stakeholders and strategic partners
- Ensure contractual, regulatory, safety, environmental and sustainability obligations are effectively managed across the network
- Strengthen reporting, performance insights and governance frameworks to support informed decision-making, risk management and continuous improvement
- Sponsor and deliver strategic projects, business cases and change initiatives that enhance network performance, customer outcomes and organisational effectiveness
Skills & Experience
- Extensive senior leadership experience across complex operational, commercial, strategy or service delivery networks
- Demonstrated experience within regulated, asset-intensive or customer-focused environments such as logistics, environmental services, infrastructure, manufacturing or related sectors
- Strong commercial acumen, including experience managing contractual arrangements, performance measures and network optimisation initiatives
- Proven capability managing governance, risk, compliance, safety and operational standards across multi-site or partner-led operating environments
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement, negotiation and influencing skills, with the credibility to work with executives, commercial partners, government stakeholders and industry participants
- A values-led leadership style, high integrity and a genuine commitment to sustainability, community impact and environmentally responsible outcomes
