About the Company:

Our client is an established mechanical services contractor with a reputation for delivering complex HVAC solutions on major design and construct projects. Operating across defence, healthcare, commercial and residential sectors, they continue to secure significant projects and are investing in the growth of their engineering division.

Due to continued project wins, they are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join their collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the design & engineering of large-scale commercial projects while working alongside experienced engineers in a supportive and technically focused environment.

Key Requirements:

• Degree-qualified Mechanical Engineer
• They would consider both intermediate and senior candidates
• Experience in HVAC building services design
• Background within a mechanical contractor or building services consultancy environment
• Proven ability to contribute to design and construct projects
• Strong understanding of mechanical services design development, load calculations
• Experience using industry-standard design software; Revit exposure advantageous
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a project team environment
• Must have full Australian working rights in order to apply

Key Responsibilities:

• Design HVAC, ventilation, air conditioning and mechanical services systems for commercial, industrial, healthcare, defence and residential projects
• Perform engineering calculations including heat loads, ventilation rates, equipment selection etc.
• Review subcontractor and supplier submissions for compliance with project specifications.
• Conduct site inspections and attend project meetings to ensure installations align with design intent.
• Assist with value engineering initiatives to improve project outcomes and reduce project costs.
• Resolve design issues and provide practical, buildable solutions throughout project delivery.
