Workshop Technician
- Provide consistent and accurate assembly, supply and installation of hoses, tubes and fittings for industrial applications.
- Support daily operations of the branch including customer service and stores management.
- Assist customers with requirements and maintain accurate records of orders and product information.
- $40-$50 per hour + super

Our client is Australian owned, servicing the mining, industrial, automotive, engineering and manufacturing industries. Due to growth, we're seeking a motivated individual that takes pride in their work to join their team as a Workshop Technician. Within this role you will provide consistent and accurate assembly, supply and installation of hoses, tubes and fittings for industrial applications. The successful candidate will be provided with full product and job training.
The Role:
- Support daily operations of the branch from operations, customer service and stores
- Assemble, machine and make hoses, tubes and fittings ensuring customer requirements and expectations are met
- Assist customers in branch or via phone with requirements
- Maintain customer records with all necessary information regarding orders, quotes and product information
- Upselling of service and products whilst on customer service calls
- Assist with stores - picking, packing, dispatching and incoming of stock
- Ensure all policy, procedures and safety requirements are adhered to at all times
What we're looking for:
- Trade or field services experience in fitting, mechanical, hydraulics or similar trade
- Ability to operate machinery, use tools and measuring devices accurately
- Excellent numeracy, verbal and written communication skills
- A strong work ethic and pride in workmanship
- Desire to be a team player
- Ability to arrange and plan priorities
- Anticipate problems and be pro-active in finding solutions
- Strong understanding of customer service
- Have an understanding of OHS and Safe Work Practices
- Ability to carry out instructions
- Medically fit for the task
- Be well presented and groomed
- Flexibility with working hours as after-hours availability is a pre-requisite (rotational on call roster)
- Customer service focused with the ability to build client relationships
