Seeking Purchasing Manager specialising Raw, Packaging and Chemical materials for the pharmaceutical industry

Day to day aspects of the role:
• Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with the supply agreement and ensure consistent continual supply of materials
• Draft formal supply agreements with suppliers
• Review pricing and terms of supply, through tender process, or negotiation with suppliers
• Ensure best practice purchasing to material cost, with the aim to maintain minimal stock holdings and continually review prices
• Maintain a cooperative relationship with the supplier
• Identify process improvements relating to the supply chain and other departments where appropriate
• Participate in the creation and implementation of policies and procedures
• In co-operation with IT identify and develop required improvements to purchasing and supply functions of the ERP system
Must have:
- PR, AU or NZ Citizenship
- 7+ years in a similar role within a manufacturing or pharmaceutical manufacturing company
- Experience in sourcing Chemicals, Packaging and Raw Materials
- Experience using an enterprise ERP system
- Ability to mentor, lead and build great relationships
