Finance Manager

Our client is a multi-entity organisation operating across project-based and operational environments. They’re looking for a commercially minded Finance Manager to take ownership of cost analysis, reporting, and financial systems as the business continues to evolve. Offering a salary of $150,000 + super, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys combining hands-on financial management with strategic commercial input.

What you’ll be doing:

• Build and manage group-wide costing and reporting frameworks
• Analyse operational costs and variances to identify savings and improve margins
• Monitor profitability across projects and business units
• Oversee inventory, WIP, and fixed asset accounting
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling
• Contribute to month-end close and ensure compliance with standards
• Partner with operational teams to provide clear financial insights
• Improve systems, reporting tools, and data visibility using Excel, Power BI and ERP systems

What you’ll need:

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar
• CA, CPA or CMA (or working towards) preferred
• 3–5+ years’ experience in finance, cost accounting, or project accounting
• Experience with costing, variance analysis, WIP, and budgeting
• Background in manufacturing, construction, engineering, or similar industries is advantageous
• Strong Excel skills
• Hands-on experience with mid-to-tier-1 ERP systems such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Oracle, Pronto or MYOB Advanced
• Confident working with data and providing practical commercial insights
