CARPENTER

Australia External Cladding Pty Ltd is an established building services company specialising in external cladding, plastering, Hebel installation, rendering and related construction services. The company works across residential and commercial building projects throughout Victoria and provides supply and installation solutions to builders and developers.

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Carpenter to join our team in Shepparton, Victoria.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out a range of carpentry and construction activities associated with residential and commercial building and external cladding projects.

Key Responsibilities

· Read and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications.

· Measure, mark, cut and assemble timber and other building materials.

· Construct, install and repair timber structures, frames, wall systems and related components.

· Install and prepare substrates for external cladding and façade systems.

· Carry out carpentry work associated with cladding, renovations and building projects.

· Install doors, windows, trims, mouldings and other building components where required.

· Assist with the installation of fibre cement, timber and other external cladding products.

· Use hand tools, power tools and construction equipment safely and efficiently.

· Inspect completed work to ensure accuracy, quality and compliance with specifications.

· Work collaboratively with other trades, supervisors and project teams.

· Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.

· Follow workplace health and safety procedures and relevant building requirements.

· Perform other reasonable carpentry and construction duties as required.

Skills and Experience

· Relevant trade qualification in Carpentry or equivalent practical experience.

· Previous experience in residential or commercial construction.

· Experience with external cladding or façade-related work will be highly regarded.

· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

· Competent use of hand and power tools.

· Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Good communication and organisational skills.

· Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

· Current driver's licence is desirable.
