The Opportunity

  • Duration: 6-12 months
  • Arrangement: Full time (hybrid)
  • Location: Melbourne

About You

You are an experienced construction lawyer with a minimum of 5 years' experience, bringing a strong track record from private practice or in-house roles within large organisations.

Your Experience and Expertise:

  • Demonstrated experience in construction, infrastructure and major projects law
  • Strong experience advising on the procurement and delivery of major infrastructure projects
  • Experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating construction and project delivery contracts
  • Knowledge of procurement frameworks, tendering processes and contract administration
  • Experience supporting large-scale rail, transport or other complex infrastructure projects
  • Experience advising on project delivery issues, contractual disputes and contract interpretation matters
  • Ability to provide practical and commercially focused legal advice to project teams and stakeholders
  • Familiarity with construction industry standard form contracts and procurement documentation
  • Experience negotiating with contractors, consultants, suppliers and project delivery partners
  • Ability to work closely with project, procurement and commercial teams throughout the project lifecycle
  • Experience advising on governance, compliance and contractual obligations within a project environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and experience working with senior project and business leaders
  • Experience supporting the delivery of complex projects from procurement through to completion
