Position Available:
This is a FULL-TIME position. As an essential member of our workforce team at GONGXIN IMMIGRATION PTY LTD (Summit Workforce), you will work closely with Site Supervisors and leading hands to carry out general roof tiling and construction tasks. Your role will involve assisting with site preparation, installing roof tiles, and contributing to the timely delivery of projects. Previous experience as a Roof Tiler in a fast-paced construction environment is highly valued. Responsibilities:
1. Project Preparation & Assessment: Review blueprints, specifications, and site conditions to accurately calculate material requirements.
2. Inspect existing roof coverings, battens, sarking, boarding, and flashing for damage, and determine necessary repairs or replacements.
3. Roof Deck Preparation: Set out the roof surface and install sarking (underlayment) to prepare the roof face.
4. Measuring & Framing: Accurately measure, cut, and fasten battens to the roof structure.
5. Custom Fitting & Detailing: Cut and shape roofing materials to ensure a precise fit around vents, chimney edges, corners, and ridges.
6. Installation & Finishing: Lay and secure roof tiles, sheets, or shingles. Fix edge and ridge tiles using cement mortar to complete the installation.
Requirement:
1. Minimum 3 years of work experience. AQF IV preferred.
2. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
3. Ability to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and consistently meet project deadlines with accuracy.
4. Honest, reliable, and a cooperative team player who contributes positively in a collaborative work environment.
