Driver Trainer

What you will enjoy doing

• Deliver practical and classroom-based training for new and existing drivers
• Conduct competency assessments across bulk tanker, cylinder and ISO operations
• Coach and mentor drivers to strengthen capability and safe driving practices
• Conduct in-cab observations, route assessments and field safety audits
• Deliver Dangerous Goods awareness, defensive driving and vehicle risk management training
• Support driver competency reassessments and ongoing development is part of your role
• Review driver performance and provide practical coaching following driving events, incidents or non-conformances
• You will contribute to driver training materials, competency assessments, SOPs and toolbox talks
• Support transport safety, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives

What makes you great

• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40122 or equivalent
• Current Multi Combination (MC) Licence
• Current Dangerous Goods Driver Licence
• Dangerous Goods experience across LPG and/or cryogenic tankers
• Minimum five (5) years' heavy vehicle driving experience
• Experience delivering driver training and competency assessments
• Knowledge of Heavy Vehicle National Law, Chain of Responsibility, fatigue management and Dangerous Goods requirements
• Strong understanding of defensive driving and safe vehicle operations
• Ability to coach, mentor and communicate effectively in a practical operational environment
