The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for an experienced Commercial Manager to support the delivery of major building and commercial construction projects across Western Australia.
Working closely with project delivery teams, you'll be responsible for the day-to-day commercial management of live projects, ensuring commercial risks and opportunities are identified, understood and managed throughout delivery.
Balancing commercial outcomes with project delivery objectives, you'll act as a key commercial partner to project teams, helping navigate risk, drive performance and support successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide commercial advisory specific to major building and construction projects
- Manage commercial performance across major project delivery teams
- Lead procurement and subcontract commercial activities
- Monitor and manage project risks, opportunities and change
- Oversee contract administration and commercial reporting
- Support project teams to drive commercial outcomes throughout delivery
- Manage subcontractor negotiations and commercial discussions
- Mentor and support Contract Administrators within the project team
- Contribute to forecasting, performance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives
About You
- Experience in a Commercial Manager, Contracts Manager or Senior CA role, specifically working on major building projects.
- Well versed in the major building and commercial construction sector
- Strong procurement, subcontract management and contract administration capability
- Demonstrated experience delivering building and construction projects valued from $100M+
- Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills
- Experience leading and developing Contract Administrators within project teams
- Practical, accountable and delivery-focused in your approach
- Any Tertiary qualifications Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, Law, Commerce or related disciplines
