Hays is partnering with a leading WA gold producer to recruit three Mine Surveyors for a large-scale open pit mining operation in the Goldfields region.
Working within a well-established Technical Services team, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate and timely survey services to support safe and efficient mining operations. These positions are offered on an initial 6-month contract, with a strong view to permanent employment based on performance and operational requirements.
Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting daily mine surveys and pickups across active open pit operations
- Maintaining survey control networks and site survey standards
- Set-out for drill and blast activities, pit designs, haul roads and infrastructure
- Volume calculations, stockpile surveys and reconciliation reporting
- Producing accurate survey plans and documentation
- Supporting Technical Services, Mining and Geology teams with survey data
- Ensuring compliance with site procedures and statutory requirements
What You'll Need To Succeed
- Previous experience as a Mine Surveyor within an open pit mining environment
- Proficiency using modern survey equipment and software
- Experience with software such as Surpac, Deswik, Vulcan or similar
- Exposure to Leica and/or Trimble survey equipment
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
Highly regarded:
- Authorised Mine Surveyor Grade 2
- Gold mining experience
- Drone survey and UAV experience
