Your new company
An opportunity has become available for an experienced Program Manager & Policy Analyst to join a high-performing government team on an initial three-month temporary contract while a permanent recruitment process is undertaken. Working within a collaborative and purpose-driven team, you will play a key role in the delivery of community-focused programs and policy initiatives aimed at supporting households, small businesses, and broader community outcomes. Reporting to a senior leader and working as part of a team of approximately 57 professionals, you will be responsible for coordinating program activities, developing policy and governance documentation, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within agreed objectives.
Your new role

  • Support the delivery of complex programs and initiatives from planning through to implementation.
  • Develop and maintain project and governance documentation, including risk registers, stakeholder engagement plans, monitoring frameworks, and operational procedures.
  • Prepare briefing notes, reports, governance papers, funding submissions, and other written communications.
  • Monitor program performance, budgets, milestones, and outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, delivery partners, community organisations, and service providers.
  • Facilitate stakeholder consultation and engagement activities to support successful program outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and resolve issues as they arise.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Experience managing or coordinating community, policy, program, or project-based initiatives.
  • Strong policy development and analytical capabilities.
  • Exceptional written communication skills with experience preparing high-quality reports, briefings, and governance documentation.
  • Excellent verbal communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven ability to work across multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, self-motivated approach.
