Your New Role
- An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Contracts Administrator to support the successful commercial delivery of major projects. Working closely with project and commercial teams, you will play a key role in contract administration, risk management, claims management and commercial governance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing contract administration activities across the project life cycle.
- Reviewing, interpreting and administering contract terms and conditions.
- Ensuring variations, approvals and claims are managed and recovered in accordance with contractual requirements and organisational policies.
- Supporting commercial decision-making through accurate reporting and recommendations.
- Identifying and managing commercial, legal and contractual risks.
- Working collaboratively with project stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Contributing to project governance, compliance and commercial performance outcomes.
- Monitoring contractual obligations and ensuring adherence to established procedures and frameworks.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a similar Contracts Administration role in construction or civil projects.
- Strong knowledge of standard and bespoke contract forms, including their negotiation and operational impacts.
- Sound understanding of contract terms and conditions, variations management, approvals processes and claims recovery.
- Awareness of the commercial and legal issues that influence the successful delivery of major projects.
- Knowledge of project management, contract management, downstream contracts, risk management and financial management principles.
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality outcomes within challenging environments and tight deadlines.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships across project teams.
- Understanding of corporate governance, policies, procedures and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.
