An established and growing civil construction contractor is seeking a motivated and proactive Site Engineer to join its project delivery team across North Brisbane.This role presents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineer looking to build their career on a diverse range of civil infrastructure, urban development, road, and subdivision projects. Working alongside experienced project teams, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering projects safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Your new role
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Site Engineer will provide engineering and project delivery support across all phases of construction, ensuring works are completed in accordance with project specifications, quality requirements, budgets, and schedules.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with the planning, coordination, and delivery of civil construction activities
- Monitor project progress and support adherence to key construction milestones
- Prepare and manage project documentation, including RFIs, ITPs, quality records, and site reports
- Conduct site inspections and verify works are completed in accordance with design specifications
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel
- Assist with procurement, forecasting, and cost control activities
- Support compliance with safety, environmental, and quality management systems
- Maintain accurate project records and reporting requirements
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across project operations
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on engineer who thrives in a site-based environment and enjoys working closely with construction teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
- Degree qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Previous experience in civil construction, infrastructure, land development, or subdivision projects
- Sound understanding of civil construction methodologies and engineering principles
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction plans
- Strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience working with project management and reporting systems
- Current Australian Driving Licence
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality
- Full Australian working Rights
