Solid Plasterer
- Apply plaster, cement and render finishes to internal and external surfaces across varied projects.

Hardset and Render Pty Ltd, located in Surry Hills, NSW, is a solid rendering company that does internal and external renders and applied finishes. Work ranges from small patching projects to new home developments and larger-scale Class 2 buildings, including concrete patching, mouldings, texture coatings, traditional render finishes, internal plasters, and heritage restoration. We are currently seeking an expert, experienced Solid Plasterer for a full-time position.
Main Tasks as Solid Plasterer:
- Render applications across varied substrates.
- Installation of external corner beads.
- Preparation of works and detailing.
- Preparing, placing and securing corners along with other mouldings, decorations and plaster fittings.
- Mixing and applying coats of plaster, cement and render to various structures using different tools and techniques.
- Repairing damaged areas and faults using different techniques and straightening varying surface areas.
- Creating decorative textures in finishing coats and applying them to varying surface areas as required.
Experience and qualification/s essential for this position
- AQF Certificate III, including at least two years of on-the-job training.
- Three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications.
- Minimum two years of full-time experience as a solid plasterer/renderer (not including apprenticeship and/or labouring).
- Skills required: sponge-finish sand cement and acrylic renders, texture coatings, internal set plaster, install corner beads.
- White Card and a valid NSW driver's licence.
- Must have all relevant tools for work and must have a ute and/or van.
Salary - $80,000 plus super
Overtime and Saturday work is available.
The suitable candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
