Short Description:
WorkPac is currently seeking an experienced Landfill Operator to join a leading waste management operation. This hands-on position involves operating a variety of heavy machinery, maintaining landfill operations, manage waste placement, and ensuring the facility remains compliant, safe and well maintained.

What You Will Be Doing:
- Experience operating some or all of the following: HR trucks, dozers, excavators, compactors and front end loaders.
- Trimble and GPS machine control experience highly regarded but not essential.
- Perform pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections to identify maintenance issues and report defects.
- Follow all site safety protocols, procedures, and environmental regulations.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors, other operators, and relevant personnel regarding site conditions and operational updates.
- Assist in site preparation, including clearing, stripping, and material stockpiling activities.
- Operate equipment in varying weather conditions and challenging terrain typical of landfill operations.
- Contribute to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
What You Will Need:
- Proven experience operating heavy earthmoving equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and commitment to working safely on site.
- Valid HR driver's licence with minimum 1 year driving experience.
- Australian Operating Tickets.
- Full Australian Working Rights.
- Must have Current National Police Clearance (or ability to obtain).
- Ability to pass pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening.
- White Card
- Proof of Hepatitis A and B vaccinations.
