Permanent Tax Accountant Position | Inner North Brisbane Location | $100,000 - $120,000 + Super

Your new role
Reporting to the Tax Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Review and oversee BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax and Income Tax compliance, ensuring accurate and timely lodgements in line with State and Federal legislation.
  • Provide tax advice and technical support to finance teams, including tax research, training, and guidance on complex tax matters.
  • Drive continuous improvement of tax processes, work papers, reporting templates, systems, and controls to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Support audits, regulatory reviews, due diligence, acquisitions, restructuring projects, and liaison with external advisors and key stakeholders.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will meet the following requirements:

  • Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline, with CA or CPA qualifications completed or underway.
  • Proven experience within Corporate Tax or Public Practice, coupled with a sound understanding of Australian taxation and statutory compliance obligations.
  • Strong analytical and investigative capabilities, with the ability to research, interpret and apply complex tax legislation while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, excellent stakeholder engagement skills, and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
