Our Western Sydney hospital is growing from strength to strength, and we’re excited to welcome a new Ophthalmology Nurse to our dedicated team.
This is a 12-month Fixed-Term contract offering Part-time hours Tuesday to Thursday between 8am and 6pm.

What Your Day Will Look Like
- Perform ophthalmic tests (intraocular pressure, tear production, electroretinography)
- Assist during consultations, diagnostic procedures, and surgeries
- Provide advanced anaesthetic monitoring (premedication, ventilation, neuromuscular blockade, recovery)
- Carry out general nursing duties — blood collection, catheter placement, and patient care
- Manage administrative and coordination tasks related to treatment and records
- Support client communication: patient admissions, updates, and discharges
- Collaborate closely with other specialist teams to ensure seamless patient care
About You
- Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, with at least 2 years’ experience as a qualified nurse
- A genuine interest in Ophthalmology – experience is a bonus but not essential
- Experience in general anaesthesia (desirable, not essential)
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Open, positive, and reflective communication style
