- Hands-on involvement in developing novel compounds.
- Lead assay development and optimisation supporting hit identification.
Join a cutting-edge radiopharmaceutical research team and make an impact on early-stage drug discovery. This role offers hands-on involvement in developing novel compounds, with a focus on pharmacology assay development, high-throughput screening, and PK/stability profiling.
What this role offers:
- Opportunity to lead assay development and optimisation supporting hit identification and candidate progression.
- Exposure to advanced automation platforms, liquid handling, and robotics for scalable screening workflows.
- Direct contribution to early PK, stability, and bioanalytical assessments with real project impact.
- Autonomy within a collaborative, fast-paced environment with access to senior scientists and project milestones.
- A role centred on tangible outcomes that influence drug development pathways.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, optimise and implement in vitro pharmacology assays to assess target interactions and functional activity.
- Design and execute high-throughput screening workflows alongside automation teams.
- Perform early PK and stability studies, including data interpretation to support candidate selection.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, reagents, and biological systems aligned with quality and safety standards.
- Analyse and interpret pharmacology data, preparing reports that support project decisions.
- Collaborate with chemistry, biology, and radiochemistry teams to ensure seamless project delivery.
What we’re looking for:
- Honours or Master’s degree in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or related field.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in in vitro pharmacology, assay development, and screening.
- Practical skills in mammalian cell culture, assay setup, and troubleshooting automated workflows.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to data quality and integrity.
- Excellent organisational skills and ability to prioritise within a dynamic environment.
