Apprentice Spray Painter

With over 5000 pieces of machinery in the hire fleet, Brooks Hire is one of the largest privately owned hire companies in Australia providing services to the civil and mining industries.

We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as an Apprentice Spray Painter at our Newman branch on a full-time basis. Reporting to the Workshop Foreman, the successful applicant will have great opportunities for training and development.

To be successful in this role it is essential that you are/have:

• Permanent residency in Australia

• Minimum Year 10 standard of education

• Currently possess a class C licence (probationary licence is acceptable)

• Must be willing to attend TAFE and complete study in related field

• Previous experience with earthmoving equipment (preferred but not essential)

• 2nd, 3rd or 4th year apprentices are encouraged to apply

• At least 17 years of age - Mature Age Apprentices welcome!

• Be able to pass a pre-employment, drug and alcohol test

• Show responsibility and perseverance at work

• Attention to detail

• Define priorities and complete work in a systematic, efficient manner in an acceptable time frame

• Demonstrated ability to understand directions and to communicate effectively
