Mani Bar is a nail and beauty salon located in Byron Bay, NSW, specialising in professional nail care services, including manicures, pedicures, gel polish, acrylic nails, BIAB treatments and nail enhancements, providing personalised beauty treatments in a welcoming environment.
Mani Bar is now looking for an experienced Beauty Therapist to join their team.
The right candidate will be responsible for:
- Consulting with clients to assess their individual beauty needs, nail conditions and preferences, and recommending suitable treatments and products.
- Performing professional manicures and pedicures, including nail shaping, cuticle care, buffing, polishing and specialised hand and foot treatments.
- Applying gel polish, BIAB (Builder in a Bottle), acrylic and polygel nail enhancements using appropriate techniques to achieve durable and aesthetically pleasing results.
- Providing specialised nail treatments, including artificial nail extensions, infills, repairs and safe removal of existing nail products.
- Performing exfoliating, moisturising and conditioning treatments to improve the appearance and condition of clients' hands, feet and surrounding skin.
- Providing relaxing hand and foot massages as part of beauty treatments to promote comfort and enhance the overall client experience.
- Creating decorative nail designs and applying specialised finishes according to clients' preferences and current beauty trends.
- Assessing the condition of clients' nails and surrounding skin before treatments, identifying potential contraindications and selecting appropriate products and procedures.
- Advising clients on nail maintenance, aftercare routines and suitable beauty products to maintain treatment results and promote healthy nails and skin.
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene and sanitation by cleaning, disinfecting and sterilising beauty tools, equipment and treatment areas in accordance with health and safety requirements.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of beauty treatments, monitoring client satisfaction and recommending adjustments or follow-up services where appropriate.
- Managing client appointments, maintaining treatment records and ensuring beauty products, equipment and supplies are appropriately prepared and maintained.
About you:
- At least 1 year of experience as a Beauty Therapist;
- Strong knowledge of beauty therapy techniques, particularly manicures, pedicures, nail enhancements and specialised hand and foot treatments.
- Proficiency in gel polish applications, BIAB treatments, acrylic nails, nail shaping and decorative nail techniques.
- Sound understanding of hygiene, infection control, sanitation and workplace health and safety requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail, manual dexterity and customer service skills, with the ability to assess clients' needs and deliver high-quality treatments.
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent;
Salary: $79,000 - $85,000;
