An experienced light vehicle mechanic is needed in Morley, paying between $35-$50ph depending on experience.

My client is a national automotive company that offers a wide range of auto repair and mechanical servicing.
Your new role
In your role, your main responsibilities would include:
Mechanical Repairs & Servicing

• Perform scheduled logbook servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on petrol and diesel light vehicles.
• Carry out engine repairs, timing belt replacements, cooling system repairs, and general mechanical work.
• Repair and maintain braking, steering, suspension, and driveline systems.
• Conduct vehicle safety inspections and roadworthiness checks

Diagnostics & Fault Finding

• Use scan tools and diagnostic equipment to identify faults.
• Investigate engine performance issues, warning lights, electrical faults, and drivability concerns.
• Report findings and recommend repair

Tyres & Wheel Alignment

• Fit, balance, rotate, and repair tyres.
• Perform wheel alignments and related suspension checks.
• Ensure tyres meet safety and customer requirements.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful and to be considered, you will need:

• Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (qualified mechanic roles).
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic abilities.
• Knowledge of engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, and electrical systems.
• Current driving licence.
