About the Opportunity:
 
We are seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Senior Technical Lead to drive the design, development, and delivery of complex digital solutions within a large and dynamic environment.
This leadership role is responsible for guiding technical teams through the full software development lifecycle, providing strategic technical direction, and ensuring the delivery of secure, scalable, and high-quality technology solutions. You will work closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and service providers to deliver outcomes that support organisational priorities and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of complex software solutions.
• Provide expert technical leadership and advice across development and delivery activities.
• Establish and promote best-practice software engineering standards, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Oversee solution architecture, technical design reviews, and code quality assurance.
• Lead release planning, production deployments, and ongoing support activities.
• Analyse complex technical requirements and develop innovative, scalable solutions.
• Investigate and resolve critical technical issues and system challenges.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system performance, sustainability, and maintainability.
• Manage technical risks and support a strong risk-aware culture.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders, vendors, and delivery partners.
• Contribute to strategic planning, workforce capability development, and technology roadmaps.
• Prepare technical reports, briefings, recommendations, and project documentation.
• Lead the successful delivery of projects within agreed timeframes, budgets, and quality standards.
• Support financial and cost analysis activities relating to technology initiatives.

About You:

• Extensive experience leading software development teams and delivering complex technology solutions.
• Strong technical expertise across software development, system design, architecture, and application support.
• Proven ability to provide strategic technical advice and influence decision-making.
• Experience leading large-scale projects from concept through to implementation and operational support.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level documentation.
• A proactive approach to risk management, continuous improvement, and service excellence.
• Demonstrated experience building team capability through mentoring, coaching, and performance leadership.
