Trade Assistant – Matraville
Labourpower are recruiting for a Trade Assistant / Field Technician to join a national escalator installation company based in Matraville.
This is a genuine temp-to-perm, full-time, long-term opportunity. Our client is looking for a reliable and committed person who is willing to grow with the company.
The Role
- Measuring, cutting and splicing escalator handrails
- Using hand and power tools to manufacture and install parts
- Packing equipment and preparing for installs
- On-site set-ups and installations
- Performing routine maintenance
- Site clean-up after completion
Hours & Pay
- Standard hours: 8:00am – 4:00pm from the Matraville depot
- $37 per hour
- Regular overtime, nights, weekends and interstate travel required (penalty rates apply)
Key Requirements
- Previous handyman, trades assistant or general labouring experience
- Good practical skills with hand and power tools (cutting machine experience highly regarded)
- Strong attention to detail and customer service focus
- Excellent safety record and reliability
- Own reliable transport (essential)
- Full Australian work rights (not suitable for temporary visa holders)
- Willing and able to work overtime, nights, weekends and travel interstate when required
This is a long-term role involving regular overtime and travel. Only candidates who can commit to this should apply.
