MOS Mining Consulting Pty Ltd is seeking experienced Mining Engineers (Senior and Principal levels) to join their expanding consulting team. Based in Currumbin Valley with a flexible hybrid work model and regular site‑based secondments, these roles offer diverse exposure across mine planning, feasibility studies, operational optimisation and technical consulting.

MOS Mining Consulting Pty Ltd are looking for motivated professionals with strong technical capability and proven experience supporting clients across all phases of mining operations.

Key Responsibilities

Feasibility Studies

·Assessing mineral resources and evaluating the technical and economic feasibility of extraction.

·Contributing to the design and development of efficient and safe extraction processes.

Mine Planning & Design

·Determining suitable ore extraction methods based on deposit geometry, overburden depth and geotechnical conditions.

·Preparing plans for mine developments, chambers, mine shafts and overall mine layouts.

·Using computer modelling and mine design software (e.g., Deswik, Surpac) to optimise mine design, extraction sequencing and production outcomes.

Operational & Project Management

·Preparing project cost estimates, production schedules and operational budgets.

·Reporting on progress, production performance and costs against budget.

·Planning and coordinating labour and equipment utilisation in line with efficiency targets, statutory requirements, safety standards and environmental conditions.

Risk & Safety Assessment

·Assessing natural, technical, financial and safety risks across project development, construction and operational phases.

·Determining safe extraction sequences and evaluating mine wall stability.

Consulting & Site Coverage

·Undertaking mining consulting projects, technical reviews and operational support assignments.

·Completing site‑based secondments to support client operations as required.

About You

We are seeking Mining Engineers who demonstrate:

·Minimum 5 years of proven industry experience in mining engineering.

·Strong technical capability in mine planning, design and operational engineering.

·Proficiency in mine design software such as Deswik and Surpac.

·Excellent analytical, modelling and problem‑solving skills.

·A commitment to safety, compliance and high‑quality engineering practice.

·Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.

·Flexibility to travel to project sites and work in a hybrid office/site environment.
