About the Role
As a Casual Group Facilitator in our Relationship Educator Program, you’ll deliver therapeutic group sessions in-person and online, supporting individuals and families to strengthen their relationships. You'll facilitate groups in-person at an Aboriginal Alcohol & Drug treatment centre.

Sessions run in the day and evenings, with a supervision session beforehand and note-taking afterward, totalling 4 hours per group. You’ll work alongside a supportive team and contribute to a safe, engaging, and reflective learning environment.

The details

  • Casual contract opportunity
  • Delivery of in-person and online group programs in Bathurst region
  • Part of this role involves delivering in-person group programs at AOD Rehabilitation Weigelli, located near Cowra
  • Sessions are typically held 9am to 1pm and 3.30pm to 8.00pm
  • Availability to facilitate approximately 2-3 groups per school term (Monday to Friday)
  • Salary approx $50.80-$56.50 an hour (depending on skills & experience) + 30% casual loading + 12% super

What You’ll Bring

  • Formal qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or a related discipline
  • Experience facilitating therapeutic or educational groups with adults, children, or families is essential
  • Training in Tuning Into Kids (TIK), Tuning Into Teens (TINT), Parenting After Separation (PAS) and Circle of Security (COS) is desirable
  • A trauma-informed, client-centered approach
  • Strong communication, empathy, and reflective practice skills
  • Valid NSW Class C drivers licence and own comprehensively insured motor vehicle
