Full time, $80K Annual Salary + Superannuation

The Steelfixing Group NSW is a Sydney based construction company specializing in multiple areas of expertise catering for all sectors of the construction industry. We provide services to our Partners and Clients across New South Wales. The Steelfixing Group NSW is expanding and looking for a skilled and fully qualified Formwork Carpenter to join our team.

This excellent opportunity will be offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis at 38 hours a week.

The successful candidate must have:

  • AQF Certificate III
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience
  • The right to work in Australia
  • Good English skills
  • Team management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong time management skills

Responsibilities include:

  • Ability to read and understand drawings
  • Analysing blueprints and specifications to determine necessary materials, dimensions, and installation procedures.
  • Builds, sets up, fits, refurbishes, and fixes structures and fixtures using wood, plywood, wallboard, and other materials.
  • Ordering and selecting timbers and materials, and preparing layouts
  • Setting frames and levels
  • Putting together prepared wood components to create structures and fixtures for installation.
  • Measuring, cutting and shaping wood or metal.
  • Working closely with your team to pour concrete into moulds.
  • Producing concrete blocks of exactly the right shape and size for whatever needs building.
  • Potentially repairing existing fixtures.
  • Working with plastic laminates, perspex, and metals
  • Familiarity reading plans and attention to detail is a must.
  • Experience with steel fixing and concreting would be advantageous.
