Job Description

Alpha Nursing is a panel provider to the WA Department of Health and is actively recruiting Registered Nurses and Midwives to join the Southwest Region. The successful applicants will provide woman-centred, continuity-of-care across antenatal clinics, maternity wards, birth suites and home visiting services. Working autonomously within a caseload model, they will also participate in 24-hour on-call shifts, providing high-quality, continuity-of-care to women and their families throughout their maternity journey.

Essential competencies include BLS, NNR, obstetric emergency management and FSEP Level 3 practitioner status (Level 2 will be considered). Advanced clinical skills in IV cannulation and perineal suturing are desirable. A current driver’s licence and the ability to confidently drive on country roads are also required.

What we offer:

·         $500 for newly onboarded staff members when they complete their first shift of a regional full-time placement of 4 weeks or longer.

·         Work a regional full-time placement of 4 weeks or longer and you are entitled to a $500 voucher.

·         Freedom to select shifts or assignments to suit your lifestyle and location.

·         Free uniform provided.

About the role:

As an RN or Midwife in the Alpha Nursing team, you’ll have the opportunity to work in regional/remote settings to match your experience. We have block placement options in ED/Acute, Medical and Surgical and all aspects of Midwifery care, including AM, PM and ND shifts.  Applicants must have Australian work rights.

If you have at least 3 years post graduate experience, please apply on-line and include:

·         Evidence of all current competencies (theory & practical), including Manual Handling, CPR, WAV & PPE

·         Current Police Clearance or CRS Card

·         Current Working with Children Check (WA)

·         ALS, Triage and Resus experience/qualifications

·         FSEP/OFSEP, Neonatal Resuscitation and PALS (For Registered Midwives)
