Financial Accountant

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a growing business and work closely with the Finance Manager across a broad range of accounting and financial functions.

This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a part-time position with the potential to move into full-time, who enjoys a hands-on position and is comfortable working across both day-to-day accounting and month-end reporting.

Your New Role

Working alongside the Finance Manager, you will play an important role in keeping the financial operations of the business running smoothly. Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing and monitoring accounts payable, accounts receivable and cash flow
• Assisting with month-end reporting, reconciliations and financial reporting
• Supporting budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis
• Assisting with BAS, payroll and FBT requirements
• Maintaining the fixed asset register and ensuring financial records remain accurate
• Supporting annual financial statements and other compliance requirements
• Assisting with invoicing, project costing and intercompany reconciliations
• Providing general finance support across the business as required

About You

We are looking for a qualified and experienced accountant who is confident working autonomously and can manage a varied workload.

Ideally, you will have:

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
• Strong financial accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing or a similar environment
• Previous experience using Pronto
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• The ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
• Strong communication skills and a professional approach to confidential information
