Provide medical care to admitted patients in wards and emergency department.
Assist in surgical procedures during emergencies when required.
Work on a shift basis with specific dates outlined for availability.

Position

GP Visiting Medical Officer for a hospital in South Australia. You will see all admitted patients in wards, patients presented to the ED. Providing surgical assistance in an emergency (this is very rare). Shifts times 0800-2000, 0800-2000 & On call 2000-0800

December

0800 Saturday 5th December – 0800 Monday 14th December 2026 (9x shifts)

0800 Monday 7th December – 0800 Monday 14th December 2026 (7 shifts)

0800 Saturday 19th December – 0800 Monday 28th December 2026 (9 shifts)

0800 Monday 28th December – 0800 Monday 4th January 2027 (7 shifts)

January

0800 Monday 4th January – 0800 Monday 11th January 2027 (7 shifts)

0800 Monday 11th January – 0800 Monday 18th January 2027 (7 shifts)

0800 Monday 18th January – 0800 Monday 25th January 2027 (7 shifts)

0800 Monday 25th January – 0800 Monday 1st February 2027 (7 shifts)

Rates

* Up to $2,900 per day

* Flights, car and accommodation provided

Essential Criteria

* Fellowship of the RACGP or ACRRM

* Up-to-date Emergency certificates
