We are currently seeking motivated and hardworking Driller's Offsiders to join a reputable drilling contractor on a 2/1 roster, working 12-hour day shifts only.With rates up to $50/hour, weekly pay, and the potential to transition into a permanent position, this is an excellent opportunity for candidates who enjoy hands-on work and want to build a long-term career in drilling.
As a Driller's Offsider, you will work alongside experienced drillers, assisting with daily drilling operations while ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently. This is a physically demanding role that requires a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a commitment to safety. Duties may include:
- Assisting with drilling operations and equipment setup
- Handling drill rods, tools, and consumables
- Maintaining a clean and safe work area
- Assisting with equipment maintenance and inspections
- Following site safety procedures and company policies
- Supporting the driller to achieve production targets
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience in a labour-intensive role such as construction, mining, landscaping, drilling, trades assistance, farming, or similar
- Full, unrestricted Australian working rights
- Current Australian Driver's Licence (willingness to obtain HR)
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC) or ability to obtain one
- Willingness and ability to work in a physically demanding environment
- Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening
Highly Desirable
- Previous experience working as a Driller's Offsider
- Certificate III in Drilling Operations or currently studying towards completion
- First Aid Certificate
- Fire Response Training
- 4WD (Four Wheel Drive) Training
- Additional mining or drilling-related tickets
