An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Fire Protection Engineer to join a highly respected engineering consultancy delivering some of Australia's most complex and technically challenging building projects.
This role is ideal for someone looking to step into a senior technical position where they can lead projects, mentor engineers and work alongside a multidisciplinary team across a diverse portfolio of developments.
The Opportunity
You'll play a key role in the delivery of fire protection solutions across a range of major building services projects, taking ownership from concept design through to construction support. This is a genuine opportunity to influence project outcomes, build client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of an established fire engineering team.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of wet and dry fire protection systems across a variety of building projects.
- Ensure designs comply with the National Construction Code (NCC), Australian Standards and relevant authority requirements.
- Coordinate closely with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and structural disciplines.
- Produce and review high-quality technical documentation and specifications.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors and project stakeholders.
- Support project delivery, technical reviews and business development activities where required.
About You
- Sufficient experience in Fire Protection Engineering within a Building Services consultancy environment.
- Professional Engineer (PE) accreditation is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Australian Standards, NCC and fire protection design principles.
- Demonstrated experience delivering complex commercial, healthcare, education, residential, defence or infrastructure projects.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Confident leading projects while mentoring and developing junior engineers.
- A collaborative approach with a passion for delivering high-quality engineering solutions.
