Job description

WEmpower, in partnership with Healthii People, is looking for an experienced and passionate Occupational Therapist to join their growing Allied Health team in the Port Macquarie / Coffs Harbour region on a full-time basis.

WEmpower deliver high-quality, person-centred Occupational Therapy services to NDIS participants across the Mid North Coast.

What you'll be doing:

  • Completing Functional Capacity Assessments (FCAs) and preparing high-quality NDIS reports
  • Conducting Assistive Technology assessments, equipment trials and prescription
  • Completing Home Modification assessments (minor and complex, within scope)
  • Delivering individual OT intervention to children, adolescents and adults
  • Developing individualised therapy plans with measurable, functional goals
  • Supporting sensory, emotional regulation, executive functioning, fine motor, gross motor and daily living skills
  • Facilitating group therapy programs, including school holiday programs
  • Delivering parent, caregiver and support-worker education and training
  • Liaising with Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, schools and other allied health professionals
  • Contributing to multidisciplinary case conferences and service development initiatives

About You:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Current AHPRA registration
  • Previous NDIS experience 
  • Current Working with Children Check and relevant disability-sector screening
  • Current Australian driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle
  • Strong clinical reasoning and report-writing skills
  • Ability to independently manage a varied caseload
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
