Construction Project Manager – Full-Time

Emerald Corporation Pty Ltd is an established construction and project management company based in Burwood, Victoria, 3125 with approximately 20 years of industry experience. We provide planning and design, permit acquisition, construction management and project-related services. Our experienced team works closely with architects, engineers, designers, contractors and subcontractors to deliver construction projects efficiently and to a high standard.

The Role

Due to business expansion, we are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to manage and coordinate construction projects from commencement through to completion.

The successful applicant will be responsible for the daily management, supervision and coordination of project activities, contractors, subcontractors, labour and resources.

As a full-time Construction Project Manager, your daily duties include:

·Managing the project site team including workers, high skilled workers, and subcontractors

·Analysing operational problems and presenting effective and creative solutions

·Liaising with project team members and subcontractors to achieve look ahead program items which were

determined weekly by the production manager

·Consulting with Architects, Engineering Professionals and other professionals, and Technical and Trades Workers

·Developing project schedules, timelines, budgets, and construction plans

·Attending site inspection while maintaining the project’s quality, safety and environmental

·Interpreting drawings & specifications.

·Procurement of project materials

• managing links between projects and monitoring overall time, costs, quality, budget and risk

·Developing & implementing construction program.

·Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.

• managing and monitoring adherence to legislation and standards of performance and safety

·Responsible for effective management of labour to deliver project needs.

Skills & Experience required for the position:

·Degree in a relevant discipline - construction relate

• Minimum 2 years' post-qualification construction project management experience
• PMP designation highly regarded but not essential
• Knowledge and experience in construction and/or civil contracting.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to comply with organisational policies and procedures.
• Ability to plan, organise, direct and coordinate construction projects.
