Cleaner -Gatton

Programmed are seeking 2 reliable and motivated Cleaners to join our team at a correctional facility in Gatton, Queensland.

About the Role

As a Cleaner, you will play an important role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.

Your duties will include:

• Cleaning accommodation units, offices, amenities, kitchens and common areas.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting and sanitising surfaces.
• Emptying bins and disposing of waste appropriately.
• Replenishing cleaning products and hygiene supplies.
• Using cleaning equipment and chemicals safely and correctly.
• Following workplace health and safety, hygiene and infection control procedures.
• Reporting maintenance issues, hazards or other concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Following all site procedures and security requirements.

About You

• To be successful in this role, you will have:
• A reliable, punctual and professional approach to work.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining clean environments.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a respectful manner.
• The ability to follow instructions, maintain confidentiality and comply with site procedures.
• Previous commercial or industrial cleaning experience (preferred).
• Knowledge of safe chemical handling and cleaning equipment (preferred).

Essential Requirements

• Must successfully pass the required security screening and checks.
• Must successfully pass a pre-employment medical assessment.
• Must be comfortable working throughout a secure facility, including designated areas where inmates are present.
• Must be willing to follow all site-specific safety and security protocols.
