Winery Worker

Pemberley of Pemberton is a family-owned vineyard and winery in Pemberton WA 6260, producing premium cool-climate wines, grapes and gourmet Southern Forests food products. The business also operates a cellar door and hosts wine experiences and seasonal events.
  
Pemberley of Pemberton is now looking for an experienced Winery Worker to join their team.
  
The right candidate will be responsible for:

• Assisting with the processing of grapes during vintage, including receiving, sorting, crushing, destemming and pressing fruit.
• Operating winery machinery and equipment used in grape processing, wine production and cellar operations.
• Transferring wine, juice and must between tanks, barrels and other storage vessels as directed.
• Assisting with fermentation activities, including monitoring tanks, performing pump-overs and carrying out routine cellar procedures.
• Preparing, cleaning and sanitising tanks, barrels, hoses, pumps and other winery equipment to maintain hygiene and product quality.
• Assisting with barrel work, including filling, topping, emptying and preparing barrels for storage or further processing.
• Supporting filtration, clarification, blending and other wine preparation processes under the direction of senior winery staff.
• Assisting with bottling, labelling, packing and preparing finished wine products for storage and distribution.
• Monitoring stock levels of winery materials, packaging supplies and production consumables and reporting shortages when required.
• Moving grapes, wine, barrels, cartons and other materials safely around the winery using appropriate handling equipment.
• Maintaining clean and organised production, storage and cellar areas in accordance with food safety and workplace procedures.
• Following workplace health and safety, chemical handling, food hygiene and winery production procedures at all times.

About you:

• At least 1 year of experience as a Winery Worker;
• Knowledge of basic winery and cellar operations, including grape processing, fermentation and wine handling.
• Ability to safely operate winery machinery, pumps, hoses, tanks and other production equipment.
• Good understanding of cleaning, sanitation and food hygiene requirements in a winery environment.
• Ability to follow production instructions, procedures and quality control standards accurately.
• Strong attention to detail when monitoring wine, equipment and production processes.
• Good physical fitness and ability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving winery materials.
• Ability to work efficiently as part of a team, particularly during busy vintage periods.
• Sound understanding of workplace health and safety, chemical handling and safe equipment operation  

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent;
Salary: $70,000 - $72,000;
