This role will suit an experienced Accountant to oversee the day-to-day accounting function and support the business with financial and commercial insights.
Your new role
Reporting closely to the Finance Manager, you will manage the full accounting cycle while supervising a small finance team.
Key Responsibilities;
- Oversee AR, AP, GL and credit management
- Manage month-end and year-end close, reconciliations, journals and provisions
- Prepare management reports, budgets, variance analysis and cash-flow forecasts
- Manage BAS, GST, FBT, PAYG and payroll tax requirements
- Oversee payroll processes and staff onboarding/terminations
- Monitor intercompany transactions and landed costs
- Coordinate audit, insurance, workers compensation and asset management requirements
- Identify and implement process and system improvements
- Provide financial analysis and insights to assist the Director with key business decisions
- Lead and support a small transactional finance team
Your experience
- Must possess minimum 4 years' experience as a qualified Accountant
- Must be bi-lingual in Mandarin or Cantonese due to clientele
- Previous experience in FMCG, hospitality, or food manufacturing, or distribution industry highly desirable
- Proven experience supervising or mentoring staff members
- Strong Excel skills
- Commercially minded with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
