The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Tiler who is passionate about their trade and can work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for preparing surfaces, laying tiles, and ensuring a flawless finish on various job sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare surfaces (walls and floors) for tiling, including removing old tiles, screeding, and waterproofing.
- Measure and cut tiles to size and shape using hand tools and tile cutters.
- Lay tiles in various patterns (grid, herringbone, diamond, etc.) ensuring alignment and levelness.
- Apply grout and sealant to joints and edges.
- Ensure all work meets Australian Standards and building codes.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients and site supervisors.
To Be Successful in This Role, You Must Have:
- Minimum Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling (Essential).
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience in wall and floor tiling.
- Proficiency in using tiling tools and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and plans.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- A valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
- White Card (Construction Induction Card).
- Ability to work unsupervised and manage time effectively.
